Instructional design
We structure knowledge, objectives, content and activities to create coherent learning experiences that are easy to use.
Learning · Instructional design · Performance
We turn complex knowledge into content, experiences and tools that help people understand more clearly and apply what they learn at work.
The principle
A presentation, course or document only has value if it helps someone understand what they need and act better when it matters. We define what needs to change at work first. The format comes afterwards.
What we do
We structure knowledge, objectives, content and activities to create coherent learning experiences that are easy to use.
We design learning paths, materials, guides and training content with a clear connection between what people need to know and what they need to be able to do.
We create resources for the moment of work, including quick-reference guides, documentation and tools that reduce reliance on memory and repetitive effort.
We connect content, processes, reporting and feedback so learning can be maintained, updated and improved over time.
Applied experience
PAULOS draws on hands-on professional experience in learning and training within operational environments: curriculum design and optimisation, refresher training, reference materials, performance support and reporting systems. That experience informs this part of the studio without being presented as PAULOS client work.
Capability demonstration
A demonstration scenario showing how task analysis, instructional design, practice, assessment and performance support can be combined to bring learning closer to real work. Content created from scratch and informed by professional experience, not presented as PAULOS client work.
Across disciplines
The problem is not always solved by another training session. It may need better documentation, a tool, a process change or information that is easier to find. That is where learning, digital and operations meet.
When it makes sense
Onboarding, process changes, new products or tools, teams that need greater consistency, content that is difficult to maintain, or training that exists but is not creating enough clarity. The format comes after we understand the problem.
