Making complexity
visible.
An audiovisual production for health and education, built around technical procedures, real people and practice environments. The challenge was not only filming: it was turning many dependencies into a workable shoot.
The challenge
Many procedures. Different people, spaces and requirements. A limited production window.
The project required coordinating technical demonstrations across clinical and academic settings without treating every shot as an isolated problem. Specialists, participants, crew, spaces and equipment all had to work within the same plan.
PAULOS role
Production and operational structure.
PAULOS worked across production planning, budgeting, casting, logistics, participant coordination and the alignment of each procedure’s requirements with locations and the production crew.
The work involved understanding dependencies, grouping captures into a viable schedule and building a plan that could move the production forward without losing sight of the audiovisual goal.
From complexity to shoot
Procedures → requirements → people + spaces + equipment → production plan → shoot.
Operations are not a separate layer from creativity here. They are what allow the production to happen.
Production
Preparing what the camera does not show.
Before and during the shoot, production connected specialist availability, participants and cast, technical requirements, locations and capture order. That structure is part of the work, even when it disappears from the final result.
Status
In production.
Production is ongoing. After the final capture phase, the project will move into post-production. The film, final frames and visual production material will be added after delivery and once material is cleared for publication.
